Limestone Health Facility opened in December 1965 with 86 beds. The facility has since grown to a 170-bed licensed, skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term care.

The 38-bed Senior Rehabilitation and Recovery Center wing opened in 2004 to offer short-term inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for patients who want to gain the strength and skills required to live independently.

The home-owned and operated facility has continued to serve the Athens-Limestone County community for over four decades.
